If your little one has decided that it is much more pleasant to walk on horseback, and his weight has doubled since birth, it is quite possible that you will not want to voluntarily go outside. Not every back can withstand such feats. Let's try to figure out how to be.
There are at least three ways for those whose stroller has fallen out of favor:
1. To teach her in an amicable way.
2. Ignore the crying and roll on.
3. Use other walking aids.
Let's consider each of them in more detail.
1) In an amicable way - this is not making the child cry. If you are not supporters of “cry-calm down-pee less”, then you will not be able to walk with a blissful face to the acoustic cry of your baby. This torture may seem more terrifying to you than wearing it on your back for eight hours.
- Walk in a well-fed state and in a good mood. The better the child's well-being, the better the chances of success.
- Arm yourself with your favorite toys, nipples, teethers. They will distract from whims.
- Also in the arsenal of many moms using crackers, rusks, cookies or other food while walking. Keep in mind that there should be enough snacks for the journey.
Experiment with baby stroller pose. Maybe he doesn't like to ride lying down or, on the contrary, he is tired of sitting. Try rolling the stroller facing and away from you. Some toddlers like to travel while lying on their tummy. Why not?
- It happens that the situation is corrected by changing the stroller. In one it was uncomfortable, unpleasant associations appeared again, and in the other it became good and comfortable. If you can, try saddling your new stroller.
Most importantly, if you want to walk on wheels, don't give up without a fight. Sit down the child, drive him in until he is calm, and try all of the above methods before picking him up. Stop, put a toy in your hands, give a pacifier, smile and continue your walk.
2) If you think that crying is pure manipulation, then you can ignore the whims for a while. Experienced adherents of this style of upbringing argue that the child learns the lesson: "cry - don't cry, and they won't pull me out of the stroller." The first time will not be easy, and it is a pity to listen and the people around you look strangely at you, but then it’s not scary to go out for a walk.
- Do not take the baby out of the stroller for every squeak. Wait for him to calm down, and only then take him out to feed or change clothes.
- To calm down the screaming, you can shake the stroller, offer a pacifier, but in no case do not pick it up.
3) There are also ways to get around the stroller: slings, kangaroos, backpacks and using the dad as a means of transporting the baby. At least it’s a little easier on my mother’s back. Take a sling for a safety net or go out for a walk in it right away. When the baby learns to walk, you can lead him by the handle. Playgrounds with swings are also saved. Sitting on his mother's knees, a young rebel can swing quite for a long time.
As a rule, dislike for the stroller passes over time, not for everyone, but for many. Try different options, be patient, but most importantly - remember that the walk should bring joy to both the baby and his parents.
