Your baby has grown up and now sleeps well all night. But it happens that it is impossible to put him to bed at the appointed time - accordingly in the morning it is impossible to raise him to the kindergarten. Or vice versa - the child goes to bed early and gets up with the first rays of the sun. In this case, parents dream of getting enough sleep at least until 7 in the morning. How to move a baby's biological clock without harming his health?
Instructions
Step 1
The process of changing the biological rhythm of a child has a certain sequence. It should be noted right away that we are talking about healthy children. If the child is sick or teething, let his daily routine be at his discretion.
For children over 9 months old, it is quite possible to change the daily routine by customizing it at your discretion. The meaning of the changes is to gradually shift the time of waking up and going to bed, 15 minutes every day. At first glance, it is very simple, but you need to take into account one feature. A small person is characterized by attachment not only to the time of falling asleep and waking up, but also to the time of eating and walking. He intuitively remembers the intervals between these activities and tries to fulfill (demand this from adults).
Step 2
If the child is a morning person, choose a day when he is not very tired and put him to bed 15 minutes later. The baby will wake up, most likely at his usual time, but he will try to make up for the lack of sleep during another (daytime) sleep. The main thing is not to let him sleep during the day. We shift the time of eating and walking accordingly. The shift of the child's regime by one and a half to two hours occurs in two to three weeks, the main thing is to move the biological clock by no more than 15 minutes a day.
Step 3
If the child is an owl, we try to wake him up 15 minutes earlier. Accordingly, we shift his entire routine by 15 minutes. Of course, it is not always possible to wake up a baby earlier without whims. You need to be ready for this, prepare new toys, books, etc. Do not let him sleep for the missing 15 minutes during the day's sleep, then laying him down at night 15 minutes earlier will turn out from the second - third day of the change in regime. After a couple of weeks, it will be possible not only to fundamentally shift the laying time for the night, but also to speed up this process. When the process of falling asleep takes no more than 10 minutes, it means that you have managed to shift the baby's biological clock.
Choose the optimal time for sleeping, playing and walking - and you and your baby will feel comfortable.
