Instructions

Step 1

The first official document of the child after discharge from the hospital should be a birth certificate. It can be obtained from any registry office, regardless of the place of registration of the parents. A birth certificate is issued on the day of application. If the child's parents are officially married, then only one of them can come to the registry office. At the same time, both mom and dad will be entered on the birth certificate.

Step 2

If the parents did not register the marriage, but want both of them to appear in the child's document, they must be present together at the registry office. First of all, they will need to issue a certificate of paternity. After that, the dad will be entered in the child's birth certificate. Both documents are drawn up simultaneously on the day of application.

Step 3

An independent mother can indicate the child's father on the birth certificate. However, this will only be a formal record, and paternity will not be considered established. Also, in the column "father", an unmarried woman has the right to put a dash.

Step 4

In order for a child to have the right to receive free medical services in state clinics and hospitals in Russia, a compulsory medical insurance policy must be issued for the child. Select an insurance company that is authorized to issue such documents. On the day you apply, you will receive a temporary medical policy for the child, and within a month you can pick up a permanent compulsory medical insurance policy.

Step 5

The newborn must be registered at the place of permanent registration of one of the parents. If mom and dad are officially registered in different places, then the child can be registered in any of these apartments on the basis of the consent of the parent, who is registered elsewhere. You can issue an OMS policy, SNILS and a passport before registering a child. It will not be possible to receive benefits from the RUSZN authorities without the registration of the baby.

Step 6

Also, the child should issue SNILS. This document is needed to receive some benefits from the state. For example, this policy gives you the right to receive prescriptions for certain medications at the children's clinic.

Step 7

If you plan to travel abroad with your child, you need to issue a separate passport for the baby. For children under the age of five, an old-style document is made, which is valid for 5 years from the date of receipt. You can enter the child into your old-style passport, but this does not give the child the right to travel outside the Russian Federation. Such a mark in the parent's passport only confirms the degree of kinship.
