The problem of falling asleep is especially relevant for two-year-old toddlers, because they are at the age of constant and active exploration of the world around them. And it can be difficult to easily switch to sleep due to the immaturity of the children's nervous system. This is where wise adults can help their fidgets!

Step 1
The main rule is to follow the daily routine. If you always put your baby to bed at the same hours, he will form a strong habit, and by the right time, most likely, the baby itself will be asked to sleep.

Be sure to give your child the opportunity to actively move during the day. Tired, the baby is more likely to fall asleep without unnecessary problems, both during the day's rest and in the evening.
Step 3
It is better if the games are calm after dinner. Let the baby play alone, or you leaf through the book together - choose yourself. If the weather permits, you can go for an evening walk with the whole family.
Step 4
Try to cook light meals for dinner so as not to overload the baby's digestive system at night. Offer your son or daughter vegetable dishes, cheese cakes or casseroles, scrambled eggs, sour milk drinks, yoghurts.
Step 5
Keep the room dark, quiet, and cool. It is this environment that is best conducive to fast falling asleep and quality rest. Be sure to ventilate the room in which the baby sleeps. Do not wrap your child up - if he gets hot, sleep will be restless.
Step 6
It is good if the child is always put to bed by the same person. You can think of a calm and enjoyable bedtime ritual. For example, the baby drinks kefir, then brushes his teeth (as he can or with mother's help), then wishes his loved ones good night (usually children at two years old cope with this task), kisses their parents and goes to bed (you can use your favorite toy). Of course, you are free to come up with other options. At first, you will have to remind the child of the sequence of actions, but then the child will cope on his own.
Step 7
If the child went to bed at the appointed time, but he still cannot fall asleep, agree that he will just lie down quietly. Don't let him get out of bed. It is quite possible that a long-awaited dream will come in half an hour.
