Sometimes in infants, redness or crusting appears on the skin of the face, head, and torso. This is diathesis. It can be accompanied by a runny nose and indigestion. Diathesis is easily recognized by skin rashes.

There are many reasons for the appearance of diathesis. Some children are intolerant to dairy products. Also, sometimes when a child eats chocolate, eggs, oranges, strawberries, apricots, rashes on the skin may appear.

A product that causes an exacerbation of diathesis should be immediately excluded from the diet. If signs appear during breastfeeding, it is recommended to remove certain foods from the mother's menu that provoke allergic reactions in the baby.

If the baby is allergic to cow's milk, then it is recommended to replace it with fermented milk products. Complementary foods for a baby with diathesis are introduced at four months. First, they give vegetable purees from cabbage, zucchini or potatoes. And at six months, dairy-free cereals are introduced: buckwheat, rice or oatmeal. A little later, meat is added to the complementary foods. Sometimes beef can cause allergies. It is usually replaced with turkey or rabbit meat.

Fruit juices and purees are prescribed for children with one teaspoon. Only then increase the dose when it becomes clear that the child is well tolerated with new foods. With diathesis, sugar, flour products and sweets are very harmful. With poor tolerance of any product, the baby may have not only rashes on the skin, but also upset stools, poor sleep.

If you constantly follow a diet, then over time, food allergies in a child may decrease or disappear altogether.
