Feeding a newborn baby is a pleasant, but rather painstaking and lengthy process. It can last about forty minutes. It is difficult to hold a baby in your arms for such a long time: muscle tension, heaviness in the arms, back pain. You can turn feeding into a real pleasure with the help of a special pillow. Following our instructions, you will sew it yourself.

Necessary

Natural fabric, sewing machine, thread, needle, zipper, filler

Instructions

Step 1

Buy 1.5 meters (canvas width 90-100 cm) of dense fabric for a napernik, teak, satin, jacquard will do. For a pillowcase, it is better to buy a piece of natural soft fabric of pastel color: chintz, calico, satin. You will also need filler for the pillow (for example, synthetic winterizer, camphor, holofiber) and, possibly, a zipper 60 cm long. Patterns for the pattern can be downloaded on the Internet or made by yourself.

Step 2

Fold the fabric in half. Circle the pattern, don't forget to add a few centimeters for the seams. Cut out the details. Notch the fabric to facilitate joining. Cut out the details for the pillowcase in the same way. Add tie details. How many strings will be up to you. Usually there are two or four of them. Make notches on the cut out parts in the places where you will sew the strings.

Step 3

If you decide to use a zipper, do not forget to make the seam allowances much wider - step back 25 - 27 cm from the middle to the outer edge of the pillowcase and also make notches.

Step 4

We sew a cover. Connect two parts: outer and inner part - insert. Carefully and carefully join the ends of the insert and notch to the outer part, starting from the center. Pin together for convenience. Sew around the perimeter and iron towards the insert. Remember to leave a filling hole. Unscrew the cover to the right side. Fill the pillow and sew the hole.

Step 5

If you did everything right, you should have a bagel-shaped pillow. Join and sew the pillowcase pieces together. Finish the inner seams and iron, preferably towards the rear. If you decide to make a pillowcase with a zipper, then sew in the lock, having previously sketched it for the product.

Step 6

Sew the strings to the corners of the pillow. You can use ready-made tape or braid. The pillow is ready.

Step 7

It is advisable to sew such a structure before the baby is born, then you can, lying on your side, very conveniently arrange your tummy on it.
