Statistics is a very interesting thing. Scientists and researchers constantly conduct many surveys, according to which they draw conclusions about certain facts. One of the strangest statistics is that there are fewer married men than married women.
Paradoxes of demographic statistics
According to the conclusions of one of the most interesting and paradoxical results of statistical studies in the field of demography, conducted on the basis of the state census, it follows that we have fewer married men than married women. Moreover, the data ratio gives a fairly large take-off - more than 4%. This conclusion causes a dual reaction - from bewilderment to irony. Difference of concepts
The realities of modern life show that the institution of marriage has undergone significant changes, and in addition to the usual official marriage, there is the concept of "civil marriage", the perception of which is completely different for men and women.
Social services conducted a survey of the population "What is the institution of marriage in your understanding?" One of the key questions was: "If you are in a civil marriage, are you married / are you married?" Surprisingly, almost the entire female audience answered this question in the affirmative, and more than half of the male respondents answered in the negative. From which we can conclude that living together with a man already allows a woman to designate their relationship as family, while men do not consider them as such and are ready to recognize family relationships only if they are officially registered and confirmed by a banal stamp in their passport.
It is this different understanding of marriage that yields interesting statistical results.
This is probably why a woman always instinctively seeks to legitimize a relationship with a man, while men are in no hurry with a final decision, entering into an official marriage at a more mature age, thus prolonging the feeling of personal freedom.
Obviously, it is this discrepancy between the pragmatic worldview of men and the sentimental perception of events by women that is the key to the paradox of inequality between married men and women.
