When a child's stomach begins to ache, mothers do not find a place for themselves. And they can be understood: after all, you want to save the baby from torment as quickly as possible. Diarrhea can be triggered by many factors: an infection in the intestines, stomach disease, or banal food poisoning, which is often accompanied by diarrhea and vomiting. And in such cases, it is very important to adhere to the correct diet.

When vomiting and diarrhea in a child, the main thing is to avoid foods that have a laxative effect, provoke copious secretion of bile, or can lead to fermentation. If you have diarrhea, never give your child dairy products: yogurt, cream, kefir or milk.

Breast milk is also not advisable, especially if you have severe diarrhea or vomiting. However, if your baby is still very young and breastfeeding is indispensable, then try not to drink coffee during this period.

And also forget about mushrooms, various marinades, smoked foods, fatty meats and vegetables with a fibrous structure, such as cabbage.

Diet of a child with diarrhea:

1. For normal assimilation and bonding, absolutely all porridges cooked in water are suitable.

2. From fruits, you can give peeled apples (only in pieces) and bananas, juices, on the contrary, will weaken. All this can be combined with gray bread both in pure form and in the form of crackers.

3. When a child has problems with the digestive tract, it is not so much the food itself that is important, but the amount of liquid. You need to drink a lot of water. Mix a tablespoon of sugar, a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of baking soda in 1 liter of water. This mixture will hold the stool together, but unfortunately, not all kids can handle the taste.

4. During diarrhea, you can also connect herbal decoctions with an astringent effect: galangal root or oak bark. They just need to be brewed and, after cooling, give the child a tablespoon (for very little ones, you can start with a teaspoon) 3 times a day.

5. In case of diarrhea, it is important not to overfeed the baby. If the baby resists eating or does not want to start the meal at all, do not force him. His digestive system is now infected and needs time to recover. Filling it with new food will only make it worse.
