Early diagnosis of pregnancy makes life much easier not only for the woman, but also for the doctor, who will subsequently monitor the condition of the pregnant woman. The sooner the emergence of a new life is revealed, the more chances are to prevent the pathological course of pregnancy and to identify possible deviations that can be easily corrected. Every second pregnancy is more or less problematic.
Instructions
Step 1
You can have a pregnancy test done well in advance of your hospital visit. Do it in the morning on an empty stomach, preferably after two days of missed periods. Previously, he can also show a result, but more often the level of the hormone is still small, and the test simply cannot fix it.
Step 2
Go to the hospital and make an appointment with your gynecologist. If your clinic only has a midwife, you will have to visit her first, and then you will receive a referral to your local hospital to see a doctor. The midwife can only perform part of the functions, in contrast to the gynecologist. But you will still pass the preliminary examination on the gynecological chair.
Step 3
The doctor will give you a referral for tests that record the level of a hormone in the blood that is responsible for pregnancy. After a few hours, it will be ready, and you will find out the estimated result. Sometimes the level of the hormone is overestimated, so it cannot be called an accurate method for determining pregnancy.
Step 4
After examination and testing, you will be directed to an ultrasound examination of the uterine cavity. After that, you will get the exact result. Sometimes, in the early stages, the device cannot fix the presence of a fetal egg, in which case you will be given a second ultrasound after a while. During the procedure, the size of the egg, its location and other characteristics, which are very important to know at an early date, will be measured.
