First of all, it is necessary to teach the child basic knowledge in the field of mathematics, reading and writing. A preschooler should know numbers within twenty, count to ten and back, perform the simplest mathematical operations within ten. The ability to solve logical problems, which are so abundant in modern textbooks, will also be a good help for the future.
Step 2
Reading begins with knowing the alphabet. Of course, they will study it in the first grade. But for the child, the task is to go a little ahead of the school curriculum. At first, study may not bring knowledge, but stress. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate for any possible gaps. In general, reading is a very individual ability. But in schools there are still strong old traditions of checking reading technique against time. This means that you can only gain reading speed through constant practice. You can start learning to read at the age of five, when the child's speech is fully formed.
Step 3
Knowledge of the letters will help in the first experiments of independent writing. You need to write in block letters. In uppercase - only in special notebooks according to the template. Starting with simple letters, move on to words and phrases. First, ask to rewrite what you saw or read from the book. So, by copying letters gradually, the preschooler will learn to understand their meaning and will be able to write down words by ear.

Preparing for school is not limited to a set of knowledge. School is a rather serious milestone in a child's life. And you need to prepare for the new step of growing up from a social point of view. Study presupposes independence, work in a new team, new relationships, and a different level of responsibility. Not every yesterday's toddler can handle sudden stress. It is in your power to soften the first months of adaptation at school. First of all, do not demand maximum academic results from the student. While he must enter into a new rhythm and regime, understand what is required of him. Outdoor walks, family weekends and a welcoming atmosphere at home will help compensate for school loads. For a child, the world outside of school must remain unchanged.
