After being discharged from the maternity hospital, parents must, according to the law, register the baby at the place of residence within a month. It is necessary

  • - birth certificate;
  • - parents' passports;
  • - Marriage certificate;
  • - birth certificate.

Instructions

Step 1

Get a birth certificate. To do this, you must come to the registry office with the following documents:

- certificate of the birth of a child (issued at the maternity hospital);

- parents' passports;

- marriage certificate (if you are in a registered relationship).

Step 2

Write a birth statement for the child. If you are legally married to the other half, then one of the parents may come to the registry office. On the basis of the documents provided, a child's birth certificate is issued. In the event that the parents are not registered, then both must be present.

Step 3

Register the newborn at the place of residence. If the parents are registered in different places, then the child is registered at the place of residence of the father or mother. In this case, you must bring the following documents to the passport office:

- a statement by the father (mother) with a request to register the child at the place of residence of the other parent;

- a certificate from the father (mother) that the child is not registered at the place of residence with him (her);

- parents' passports and their photocopies;

- Marriage certificate;

- birth certificate of the child and his photocopy.

In addition, if, in addition to the mother (father), someone else is registered in the privatized apartment, then their written consent is required to register the baby in this living space.

Step 4

Finally, apply for Russian citizenship for your child. To do this, you need to go to the district department of the federal migration service. Take your parents' passports and birth certificate with you. On the day of application, a stamp will be put on the back of the birth certificate.
