Children feel the pre-holiday bustle in the house especially keenly. They cannot remain indifferent to the preparation and strive to actively participate in it. This natural desire can be used to the benefit of everyone. For example, when preparing for Valentine's Day or for the wedding of an older sister, make cards or pendants - valentines with your child.

Instructions
Step 1
Make the most popular valentine card. It can be either heart-shaped or rectangular. Start with the simplest. If you have an A4 sheet, divide it in half and then in half again. The child can be instructed to cut the paper along the lines you have outlined.

Instruct your child to fold the cards in half. Explain that this must be done very carefully, aligning the sides. Otherwise, the valentine will turn out to be crooked.
Step 3
Sketch the drawing with your baby. Discuss how you will decorate the card. An obligatory element is a heart. It can be cut out of red paper and pasted on. If you are making more than one of these cards, draw a heart on thick cardboard and cut out. Instruct your child to circle it several times and cut out the applique elements. Color-matched adhesive papers and self-adhesive foils are very suitable. Show your assistant how to use them and explain that first you need to cut out the blank, then carefully separate the paper layer, put the heart on the card so that no wrinkles and folds are formed.
Step 4
Use the remnants of ribbons, ribbons, tinsel for decoration. For example, you can lay out a heart from a matching silk cord and glue along the contour. Multi-colored sequins will do as well.
Step 5
You can also make a Valentine's card in the form of a pendant. Make a salty dough. Mix equal amounts of salt and flour, add water and stir until smooth. Place the dough in the refrigerator (but not in the freezer) for two hours.
Step 6
Make a heart out of the salted dough. Show your child how to make delicate crafts. You can, for example, roll out a thin cake, and then cut out an object of the desired shape from it. Use any sculpting method you are familiar with.
Step 7
Make 1 or 2 holes in the pendant. The only hole should be located just below the dimple. If there are two of them, then pierce the protrusions. Leave the product in the air for a day to dry. You can bake it in the oven at a temperature of about 50 ° C.
Step 8
Valentine's card can be painted with gouache or acrylic paints. Previously, it is better to prime it with a water-based emulsion, but you can not do this, the paint will hold up well anyway. Decorate the valentine to your liking and thread the braid through the holes.
