A newborn child spends a lot of time in a crib. If the baby sleeps with his mother, then he plays in the crib, learns to get up, leaning on the sides, tries to walk. And if the crib serves as a place exclusively for sleeping, then it should be extremely safe for the child.

Step 1
Buy a baby cot and take care of purchasing bedding at the same time. First, choose a mattress for babies that matches the size of the crib. It is better if the material from which the mattress is made is latex foam with holes for air circulation. A coconut mattress, despite its merits, can cause allergies in a child.
Step 2
Choose bed linen for a baby cot made of cotton or coarse calico with a stable pattern. The sheet and duvet cover must be able to withstand high wash temperatures, which is important when disinfecting linen. Give preference to a stretch sheet - elastic bands will prevent it from slipping off the mattress. Stock up on a few flannel nappies and change them as often as possible.
Step 3
Lay a sheet on the mattress, put a medical oilcloth on top or any other, but which will not rustle and slip. If necessary, secure the splash guard with rubber bands. Cover the crib with a warm diaper.
Step 4
Place a light, warm blanket in the crib. Use a baby sleeping bag instead, if necessary, but never a synthetic blanket. In hot weather, cover your child with a sheet or put a thin shirt on to sleep.
Step 5
Place a folded diaper or flat pillow under your baby's head. The baby does not need any orthopedic pillows. The ruffles, ties and laces on the pillowcase will only get in the way of the child, so remove the excess and jewelry.
Step 6
do not cover the headboard and sides with protective devices for months. No matter how you lay the crib, remember that the child should be safe and comfortable in it, then the baby's sleep will be strong and serene.
