In the first three months of a baby's life, a mother is faced with one of the problems in her child's life - abdominal pain and flatulence, i.e. flatulence. This is caused by the formation of the work of the gastrointestinal tract. What should a mother do, how to help a child with colic?
There are several ways to help your baby:
- massage the baby's abdomen (light palm clockwise stroking);
- heat the diaper with an iron and put it on the expected place of accumulation of gases;
- you can still use a heating pad. Fill it 1/3 full with warm water and wrap it in a towel so as not to burn the baby's skin and place it on his belly.
Do not underestimate the role of water in this situation. It is common for a child to sweat during the day, and if it is warm and dry in the nursery, the more fluid is lost in the baby.
If there is not enough fluid in the child's body, intestinal juices will be thick and will not be able to cope with food processing. Therefore, the mother can give the baby:
- dill water;
- decoction of chamomile or raisins;
- tea with fennel.
A nursing mother can herself drink dill water, herbal tea or brew fennel in case the baby refuses.
It is very good to drink a decoction of common fennel and dill seeds: it helps not only with flatulence, but also improves lactation.
To prepare the broth, you will need 1 teaspoon of dill and fennel seeds, which must be poured with boiling water, then put on a steam bath for 10-15 minutes. Drink the broth warm before meals and no more than one glass a day.
And most importantly, at first, mom should not forget about the diet.
