With the birth of a baby, parents are faced with the first worries and hassles associated with swaddling, feeding, bathing crumbs. At the same time, one should not forget about the registration of documents for the child: birth certificates, medical policies, registration, citizenship. And some certificates will come in handy for happy mothers and fathers to receive child benefits.
Instructions
Step 1
In 2011, due to rising inflation, the one-time childbirth allowance increased to 11,703 rubles 13 kopecks (in 2010 the amount was 10,988.85 rubles). And if the baby was not born alone, and you are lucky twins or triplets, then the allowance is paid for each baby separately. You can get it both for the mother and father, and for the person who replaces them with the official registration of custody of the child. The allowance is paid once, so the parents will not receive the money at the same time. The child's father can receive benefits even though he is not married to the child's mother. The main condition is his registration by the registry office as a father. Regional payments from the budget can be added to the amount of 11,703 rubles 13 kopecks. For example, in Moscow, for the birth of the first child, a monetary compensation in the amount of 5,500 rubles is issued, and if both parents have not reached the age of 30 at the time of the birth of the baby, then they can claim an amount equal to 5 times the subsistence minimum.
Step 2
Typically, a lump sum payment is made by a woman's employer if she is officially employed and on maternity leave. If her husband is employed, and the wife is unemployed, then the allowance is issued at the place of work of the spouse. For full-time students, parents who do not have a job must contact the social security authorities at the place of registration or place of study.
Step 3
The package of documents must be provided within 6 months from the date of birth of the child, while the allowance is paid within 10 days from the date of its acceptance. Here are the following documents: a statement signed with your own hand; a certificate from the registry office in the form No. 24 (issued instead of a medical birth certificate); a certificate from the place of work of the wife or husband or from the social protection authorities that she did not receive such an allowance (s); a copy of the document from the last place of work (an extract from the work book, military ID) and the applicant's passport, if he is not currently working, and receives the allowance in the social protection authorities.
