Make a mermaid carnival costume from the most ordinary things: bottles, plastic bags and wrapping paper. In addition to a fun activity, your child will learn to protect and preserve the environment.

It is necessary

  • - plastic bags of different colors
  • - elastic band 50 cm long
  • - scissors
  • - double sided tape
  • - glue, regular and glitter
  • - cardboard
  • - T-shirt
  • - blue paint

Instructions

Step 1

For a skirt, cut out a piece of polyethylene of the required length (so that the skirt is ankle-deep) and width (waist + 20 cm). Make the bottom edges of the skirt rounded. Glue a strip of double-sided tape 3 cm below the top edge of the skirt. Place an elastic band on top of the tape and wrap the edge of the plastic. Make the ends of the tape and elastic long. Connect the sides of the skirt and glue them with the long ends of the tape to the rounding line. Turn right out. A skirt with rounded edges in the center of the front is ready.

Step 2

From multi-colored bags, cut out details in the form of fish scales and strips for fringes 10-15 cm long. Starting from the bottom of the skirt, use tape to glue the fringes and rows of scales so that each subsequent row slightly covers the previous one. Secure parts from plastic bags with tape, super glue or all-purpose glue.

Step 3

For the top of the suit, cut out two shell-shaped pieces from the bag and decorate them with glitter glue. Take an old jersey and spray it with blue paint. Glue some plastic shells onto your shirt.

Step 4

To make hair, make a hoop out of cardboard and glue strips from bags, ribbons or New Year's rain on it.
