Instructions

Step 1

The introduction of complementary foods begins at 4-4, 5 months. The intervals between subsequent complementary foods are approximately two weeks: the first goes to a gradual increase in a single portion, and the second to fully adapt to the new food.

Step 2

When introducing a second complementary food, as in the case of the first, follow certain principles. Start with a small amount, ½ teaspoon, so that the baby gradually gets used to the next dish. Give porridge before breastfeeding while your baby is still hungry. Prepare food a few minutes before feeding, not ahead of time.

Step 3

Babies in the first year of life better absorb rice starch, then wheat, i.e. semolina porridge and some worse other cereals. But as you get used to and develop the necessary enzymes, after 1-2 months, give porridge from mixed cereals, for example, oatmeal, rice and buckwheat. First, cook the baby 5% porridge, and then 8-10% in whole milk. You can buy ready-made cereals for baby food. The method of their preparation and dosage are indicated on the package.

Step 4

One week after the introduction of porridge, replace it with another breastfeeding. Thus, at 6-6, 5 months, your baby will receive 2 complementary foods (vegetable puree and porridge) and 3 breastfeeds.

Step 5

For optimal digestive function, split complementary foods by breastfeeding. The baby's menu should look something like this: 6.00 - breastfeeding; 10.00 - porridge; 14.00 - breastfeeding; 18.00 - vegetable puree; 21.00 - breastfeeding.

Step 6

When the baby gets used to porridge, combine it with vegetables: pumpkin or carrots. And then, for dessert, let's give fruit puree.
