Endometrium (from Latin - endometrium) - the inner mucous membrane of the body of the uterus. It is a complex, multicomponent system consisting of integumentary and glandular epithelium, stroma, basic substance, blood vessels. The functions of the endometrium are to create conditions that are optimal for the implantation of the blastocyst in the uterus. During pregnancy, the number of glands and blood vessels in the endometrium increases. The proliferation of vessels in this layer is part of the placenta, which delivers oxygen and nutrients to the embryo. So how do you improve your endometrium?
Instructions
Step 1
If the endometrium was not mature enough at the time of the desired conception, then its onset either simply will not occur, or (with a high degree of probability) the pregnancy will be terminated at an early stage. Therefore, this mucous membrane must be checked and, in some cases, treated.
Step 2
To improve the endometrium, the doctor will usually prescribe a comprehensive treatment for you. It includes drug therapy, that is, taking drugs aimed at increasing estrogen in the body (such as Estradiol, Estrofem, Microfollin, Divigel, Proginova). In some cases, physiotherapy, acupuncture, hirudotherapy (treatment with leeches), plasmaphoresis, ozone therapy, magnetotherapy and others can help.
Step 3
If the insufficient level of the endometrium is directly related to the underdevelopment of the uterus, a long course of hormone therapy is carried out, aimed at replenishing the lack of certain hormones and "growing" the organ. At the same time, the chances of improving endothermia and the possibility of fertilization directly depend on the degree of its underdevelopment.
Step 4
If a woman has previously terminated a pregnancy by curettage, especially if the abortion was performed at a low professional level, and even more so outside a medical institution, this can create an intractable problem. When the entire functional layer of the uterus is removed, the woman loses the foundation from which at least some endometrium could develop.
Step 5
In practice, complete removal of the endometrium is extremely rare. Nevertheless, a woman should be aware of this problem and, if possible, not bring the matter to an abortion. After all, if in the endometrium there are “only” separate places where the layer cannot be restored, the achievement of pregnancy becomes problematic!
