Instructions

Step 1

The most important document in the Russian Federation is a passport. The provision of medical services on a budgetary basis is carried out only to citizens of Russia, and the only document confirming citizenship is a passport. If it is available, the policy and other documents are not so important. If childbirth has already begun, you must be admitted without a passport, but in reality this can cause questions and difficulties.

Step 2

The next important document is an exchange card, which is started from the first day of registration in the antenatal clinic and is given to the woman after 20 weeks. Such a card will help doctors correctly determine the condition of the woman in labor. In the event of an emergency hospitalization, doctors will be able to find out the possible causes of a malfunction in the ongoing pregnancy. It contains information about the past and chronic diseases of the expectant mother, about the presence of an unsuccessful pregnancy and childbirth in the past, information about the abortions performed, the date of the last menstruation, the results of blood tests, the size of the pelvis of the expectant mother, her height and weight, ultrasound results, data on development fetus.

Step 3

The exchange card contains important information and is divided into 3 parts. Without her, the woman in labor is placed in the infectious diseases ward, and this is unnecessary stress for the mother and her unborn baby. The second and third parts are filled in at the hospital. The second is sent to the antenatal clinic and contains information about the past childbirth. The third part of the exchange card is sent to the children's clinic, where the baby will be monitored, and contains information about his parameters and possible deviations at birth.

Step 4

You should definitely take your compulsory medical insurance policy with you to the maternity hospital. It confirms your registration in the free health insurance system in the Russian Federation. It is advisable, but not required, to have a generic certificate with you. This document allows you to receive financial assistance from the state to the maternity and antenatal clinics in which you were observed.

Step 5

If you have entered into an agreement with the maternity hospital on the provision of paid services to you, you must take it with you. If the future father wishes to be present at childbirth, he will need to take his passport and the results of fluorography with him to the maternity hospital. This is required to prevent infection from entering the hospital and reduce the risk of infection of children with dangerous diseases. Of course, no one can stop the labor that has begun because of the missing document, however, pre-collected and prepared certificates will save you from unnecessary formalities and loss of time.
