The simplest and fastest-to-prepare dish in the infant's diet is mashed potatoes. It is not only tasty, but also healthy, as it is a source of vitamin C, potassium and 32 more microelements. Moreover, warm mashed potatoes with a lot of milk are good for babies when they cough, which often manifests itself already in the first year of life.
It is necessary
- - one medium-sized potato;
- - milk or cream (20 g);
- - 5 g butter;
- - 5 ml of salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking mashed potatoes for babies is no different from the usual method. The subtlety of this dish is only in the consistency of puree, since it should be more liquid and not cause problems with swallowing. And to make the puree even more nutritious, you can add, in addition to milk and butter, hard-boiled egg yolk (1/3 part) or cream (20 g).
Step 2
Use only high-quality potatoes to make mashed potatoes for babies. Do not prune sprouted or green tubers. The presence of toxic substances in such vegetables will lead to their accumulation in the baby's body, which in the future may manifest itself with any type of allergy (food, drug, etc.).
Step 3
To prepare mashed potatoes, use enameled dishes and purified water - bottled or from under a filter, since the liquid consistency of the dish is prepared using potato broth.
Step 4
Thoroughly washed, peeled and once again washed medium-sized potatoes, cut into several parts (not very finely, in order to preserve as much nutrients as possible). Pour some water over it just to cover the potatoes and cook over medium heat until cooked through.
Step 5
Next, mash it with a plastic fork or wipe it through a plastic sieve. Add potato broth to the resulting mass, butter - 5 g, salt solution (25%) - 5 ml and add milk or cream (20 g) to form a liquid consistency.
Step 6
From 7-8 months, add mashed liver, ground beef, egg yolk to mashed potatoes for babies. This will further enhance the nutritional value of the food and make it even tastier.
