It is almost impossible to spoil a child in the first year of his life, but during this period there is the possibility of laying the foundation for his spoiledness at an older age. If parents are ready to keep an eye on the baby all the time, to entertain him all the time, offering one or another pleasure, then they clearly exaggerate the baby's need for attention, care and concern. After some time, such children understand that mom or dad is completely in their power, and in this situation, both sides can suffer from tyranny and self-indulgence.
Consider five principles that must be followed in order to raise an unspoiled child:
1. Try to be able to explain to the child the difference between his strong desire and need.
2. Together with the children, you can collect all their books with toys that they no longer play, baby clothes and take everything to the orphanage. There, your child will see that there are children who need care, who do not have the most important thing - parents and their love. It will also make it clear to children that there are people who are initially given less than everyone else. Doing so also teaches children to be compassionate and willing to share what they have with others.
3. Willingness that children always compare themselves with others
Comparing yourself to your surroundings is a normal phenomenon at any human age. After all, all people have a desire to be different from others, to lag behind and achieve great success. Therefore, a situation constantly arises when the baby wants some thing just because his friends already have it. You can give up your position only if this thing is useful. If this is just a trinket, then you need to try to explain why you will not buy it. You can also offer it to "earn", for example, clean up or learn something.
4. Try to teach your child about saving and planning expenses.
5. Teach your kid to earn.
Here, of course, we are not talking about fully providing for oneself and one's needs at an early age. You just need to accustom the kid to the fact that if he wants to have some thing, then she will not fall on his head, it needs to be earned. Thus, in order to get what he wants, he will try more in his studies and household chores.
